Why we do it: “Our Home” was established in the year 2000 and caters to orphan children in
Chennai. The vision of our home is to provide holistic development to 25
children from their childhood till the time they are independent to live their own lives.
What do we do: Our children are in the age group of 6 to 15. We facilitate
their education in a english medium private school and conduct many activities for them throughout the year to enhance
their talent and skills. We conduct sports events where we award the sports boy
and girl every year, conduct dance and singing classes, and facilitate them to
participate in science exhibitions, drawing competitions as well stage shows on
occasions like Krishna Jayanthi and Ganesh Chathurthi. We also have fun filled
outings for our children at fun city, latest movies, fairs, and melas.
Every child in our home enjoys every festival be it Christmas, Diwali or
Holi. All the events are celebrated with our children and the complete LIFE
Board.
Additionally we also focus on their health and personality development, by
conducting dental check ups, personality development and value education
classes.
How do we impact: Our home is one of our micro projects , but the impact of this project
is far reaching as we have sowed the seed of 25 lives and assured that their lives and destinies have been changed!
