and takes us closer to our common dream. LIFE offers you several unique opportunities
to make a difference to society.
1 Motivate a child: Support us
by contributing Rs. 1500 towards our Effective Study Habits and Career Counseling
Programs which aim at motivating children of the 49 BMC schools in Mumbai to excel
in their examinations and remain focused on their career goals.
2 Help us provide Value Education: LIFE conducts
monthly awareness programs in BMC schools covering essential topics like Good citizenship,
Health and Hygiene, leadership skills, goal setting, stress management and others.
You could support us by sponsoring 100 children @ Rs 15 per child which will help
us change their lives and destinies.
3 Support a Livelihood: LIFE conducts regular
vocational training for women and young adults. You could sponsor any of the following
training programmes:
- Tailoring – Rs 400 / per person
- Hand Embroidery – Rs 300 per person
- Machine Embroidery – Rs 300 per person
- Basic Electricity and house wiring – Rs 800 per person
- Maintenance of domestic appliances – Rs 400 per person
- Beauty Culture basic– Rs 800 per person
- Mehendi Application Art – Rs 300 per person
- Soft toy making – Rs 350 per person
- Paper Bag Making- Rs 300 per person.
LIFE Trust reaches out to more than 400 participants every year and we need to your
support to extend our reach to many more women and children.
4. The LIFE Center for Learning Disabilities
conducts more than 1500 Learning disability tests every year free of cost. You could
support us by sponsoring Rs 1500 per child and ensuring tests and remedial action
by quality professionals in this field.
5. Make a child School Ready:
LIFE Trust works with 475 Anganwadis in Bandra and Dharavi .You could sponsor an
Anganwadi at Rs 400 per month which would include educational toys and teaching
aids for children below 0-6 years, and Teacher Training Programs to make children
competent to join class I.
Sponsor
one or more of our children in ‘Our Home’, our orphanage in Chennai. You may sponsor
‘Residential Care for the child’ which includes education, boarding, lodging, medical
and extra curricular activities for the child. This shall cost you Rs. 3300 per
month per child.
7. Payroll giving: Thousands of individuals would
like to do something for underprivileged children but don't have the time. As
an organization, you can help provide them this opportunity. LIFE has introduced
the opportunity to contribute with the 'payroll giving' better known as
‘Change a LIFE’ movement. With this scheme a company’s employees donate money for
children by sanctioning an automatic deduction from their monthly salaries; this
makes contributing easy and eliminates paperwork. However, this requires the consent
and participation of both management and employees. For more information on this,

Our payroll giving begins from Rs 10 per employee per month to a dedicated project
of his/ her choice.
8.a. Installing Donation Boxes: You can really
help by keeping a donation box on your premises where employees can make regular
donations. The LIFE Trust staff will collect the donations on a monthly or bimonthly
basis.
8.b. Sponsoring our donation boxes: If your Organization
would prefer to put their logo alongside LIFE Trust on the donation box, they may
do so. This would require that the organization bear the cost of production of the
donation box which would exclaim the organizations Corporate Social Responsibility

Tax exemption status:
Donations to LIFE Trust are exempt from tax under both sections, 80G, of
the Income Tax Act. We are also registered under the Foreign Contributions (Regulation)
Act FCRA 003592007 (Axis Bank) for the receipt of foreign donations.
